After a year-long dull period, no thanks to the pandemic, the fashion industry has finally kicked off a comeback high on all style notes. For this year’s fashion extravaganza, the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) and Fashion Design Council Of India (FDCI) came together for the first time in history for a five-day affair.
Kick start of the show
Day 1 of the extravaganza showcased a myriad of designer collections by some of the most talented designers of the industry. From Pankaj and Nidhi’s eclectic collection to Shantanu and Nikhil’s dreamy silhouettes, and Payal Singhal’s larger-than-life outfits to Arpita Mehta’s eccentric styles were some of the few big shows that took over everyone’s mind on day one. And, we witnessed some new styles on the fashion runway that was left unoccupied for days on end.
From dream-like fantasy sets to technological advancements, the first day of the fashion week blew us all away and gave us once in a lifetime experience. The wide range of quirky styles and a plethora of colours were nothing short of a vision as the graceful models dressed in exceptional collections, made their way to the ramp, each giving us an insight into the effort and imagination of bringing a design to life.
This Day 5 of the luxury collection at its best, we saw, Malaika Arora and Soha Ali Khan absolutely dazzled on the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week 2021. Today marks the 5th day of the event and the divas turned showstoppers for designers Annu and Megha Jain Madaan respectively.
