As you saw, the trailer starts with LAPD Officer questioning Lucifer about an event that happened in the evening. Lucifer is seen struggling in his new position of God. The trailer shows that the lack of God is causing havoc on Earth. Lucifer is seen going back to his therapist, Dr. Linda Martin, and says ‘Clearly, I belong on this couch’.

Previously, Lucifer Season 6 has been canceled by Fox. Later, it was even rejected by Netflix. But during a turn of events, Netflix agreed to release one final season of Lucifer. The show was supposed to end at Season 5 but viewers felt that there has been a lot of unanswered questions. Therefore, the makers of the show got a perfect opportunity to end the storyline of all characters in the final Season 6.

The much-awaited final and 6th Season of Lucifer release date has been announced. Netflix has announced that the final season will be released on 10th September,2021. ‘All bad things come to an end‘ is the tagline of Lucifer Season 6. The show will have 10 episodes.

Lucifer Season 6 The Storyline

As we know in Lucifer Season 6, Lucifer’s story begins when Lucifer Morningstar decides that he has had enough being the dutiful servant in Hell. Then, he decides to move to Earth so as to get a better understanding of humanity. He comes to live in Los Angeles where he tries to help people with his extraordinary abilities.

Season 5 concluded when Lucifer overtook his father and became the next God. His father is played by Dennis Haysbert. Even though, he has been provided with all luxury and freedom at Heaven. He still persists to stay on Earth to complete some unfinished business and his fondness for solving mysteries  In the position of God, Lucifer is facing a lot of trouble. Things go haywire at Earth and an apocalyptic situation is being witnessed. Lucifer is in a dilemma as he does not what he is going to do or how things are going to end. The Lucifer Season 6 has also addressed important movements like Black Lives Matter. In the episode titled, ‘A Lot Dirtier Than That‘ directly tackles the matter of BLM.

The show has been shot in Columbia. Fans can definitely expect a dramatic ending with a fiery battle.

The Cast

Tom Ellis plays the lead role of Lucifer. Lauren German as Chloe Decker, Lucifer’s love interest. Kevin Alejandro has been playing the role of Dan. Although his character was brutally murdered in Season 5, he revealed that he will be appearing in Season 6. Lucifer and Chloe will be seen romancing each other.

We have also seen an animated spin to Lucifer. Tom Henderson, the writer of the show, has said Covid-19 allowed him to explore and experiment with the storytelling front. The episode titled ‘Yabba Dabba Do Me’ has been created with the help of the team of animators of HBO Max Series and Harley Quinn.
