Actor Liam Neeson, who played Qui-Gon Jinn in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, wants to be in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

LucasFilm continues with its plans to expand the franchise, which is why they are preparing the Obi-Wan Kenobi series that will premiere on Disney +. This program will bring Ewan McGregor back as the famous Jedi and it is already speculated that we will be able to see Darth Vader again and even some young Luke and Leia. That’s why it wouldn’t be so weird for Qui-Gon Jinn from Liam Neeson to return.

In a recent interview, actor Liam Neeson commented that he would love to return to Star Wars :

“I’ll be honest with you: I haven’t heard any of that,” actor Liam Neeson confessed when asked about the series. “But of course, I’d be willing to do that, yes.”

Qui-Gon Jinn continues to be a fundamental character for the saga.

Liam Neeson starred as Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999), he was the mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi in McGregor, until Anakin Skywalker crossed their lives. From then on he became obsessed with that boy who was the chosen one and pressured the Jedi Council to admit him to the Order. After his tragic death at the hands of Darth Maul (Ray Park), Obi-Wan Kenobi took over from Anakin Skywalker.

Actor Liam Nesson provided his voice for a few appearances in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the final scene of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. So it would be a great idea for him to return to the saga in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, although obviously it will be as a force ghost.

Currently, Liam Neeson has several interesting projects such as The Ice Road, where he will play a driver specialized in ice who must come to the rescue of trapped miners, in what is an almost impossible mission. It will also make Memory where a hitman discovers that he has become a target after he refuses to complete a job for a dangerous criminal organization. He will also play an American journalist who travels to Africa to pursue a murderous colonel and bring him to justice, in the film Charlie Johnson in the Flames. Lastly, he has a fascinated project titled Marlowe, where he will be a private detective who goes through a rough patch until a woman asks him for help to find her ex-lover, which will lead to a greater mystery.

So we can see that Liam Neeson is not lacking work, even so, let’s hope he repeats as Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars.
