Hosted by the sassy Karan Johar, Koffee Shots with Karan hosted the cast of ‘The Empire’. Kunal Kapoor, Dino Morea, and Drashti Dhami were featured in the special episode. The historical drama ‘The Empire‘ was released on Disney+ Hotstar on 27 August 2021. However, it has been in the headlines as netizens felt that the series glorified Babur. But such grievances had been rejected by the appointed grievance officer. The popular series has been named ‘India ka Game of Thrones’ by fans.
Karan’s Brewing Questions
The special episode of Koffee Shots with Karan was released on Monday (6th September 2021). It was aired on Disney+ Hotstar and YouTube.
Like every season of Koffee with Karan, this episode also featured fiery rapid-fire round and controversial questions (for which the show is famous). The Cast of The Empire was on the couch of Karan Johar. Kunal Kapoor who played the role of Mughal emperor Babur in the series was asked tricky questions. Karan asked Kunal which of the following three actresses he would like to ‘behead, marry, lock-up’ with options as Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, and Alia Bhatt.
Kunal Kapoor was a sport and answered ” I think I would behead Alia Bhatt, just out of envy of how talented she is. I would marry Anushka Sharma, but I think Virat Kohli would behead me. Deepika I would lock up because things of value and beauty should be locked up.”

Drashti Dhami was also posed with the same questions. Her options were her three co-stars, Vivian D Sena, Gurmeet Choudhary, and Dino Morea. Drashti said, ” I would behead Vivian D Sena, lock up Gurmeet and marry Dino”
Also, Karan asked Drashti whether she had difficulty in getting the Urdu diction right. To which Drashti replied, that earlier she was never corrected. But on the shoot of ‘The Empire’, she was corrected from the first day itself. Shabana Azmi, who played the key role of Esan Dawlat in the series, corrected Drashti’s Urdu diction.
Actor Dino Morea’s look on the show caught a lot of attention. Karan complimented him saying ” I saw your look and it is a badass look”. Later, the host asked him ” What kind of an animal are you off-screen?” To which Dino replied, “I am a puppy, everybody loves a puppy”
