Koffee with Karan 8: Karan Johar’s famous chat show ‘Koffee with Karan Season 8’ is going to start today i.e. 26th October. During the conversation, Ranveer Singh disclosed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had not initially selected Deepika Padukone for the movie “Ramleela.” He had first cast Kareena Kapoor for this movie. The set was ready, and only a week was left for the shooting to start.

But then for some reason Kareena had to leave the film. Ranveer further said that he was the one who recommended Deepika’s name to Bhansali and his team after seeing her performance in the recently released ‘Cocktail’. The cocktail had just come out when Ranveer remarked, “Then we were sitting and thinking about who to cast.” The actor offered her name in this circumstance, and that’s how Deepika Padukone made her screen debut.

Kareena was replaced by this film

When Kareena was asked if she would ever collaborate with Bhansali, it was during a 2002 interview with Filmfare. Kareena said, “I will never do it,” in response. Let us tell you that Kareena was first cast in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Devdas’, but later she was replaced by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
