Kim Jong Un falls ill in North Korea, says his sister

North Korean leader Korean Kim Jong Un declared victory in the battle against the novel coronavirus while ordering a lifting of epidemic measures imposed in May. But just recently he suffered from a high fever, during a recent covid outbreak, and mentioned his sister Kim Yo Jong.

According to Kim, the outbreak originated from leaflets from South Korea near the border. During her speech, she mentioned how he did not lie down even for a moment, despite being ill, since he had the responsibility towards the citizen to take care of them until the end of the anti-epidemic war.

If dangerous activities like these continue which might bring the virus into the regime, then it’ll be reciprocated by wiping out the virus as well as the South Korean authorities.

Kim made the declaration of victory on exterminating the virus from the country which pose threat to many lives, through a speech at a meeting on covid policy with thousands of unmasked officials sitting indoors.

As per the news, Korea never confirmed the number of active cases due to the lack of means to conduct widespread testing.

While lifting the anti-epidemic measures, Kim also mentioned about continuing of the process of maintaining a strong anti-epidemic barrier and intensifying the anti-epidemic work until the end of the global health crisis.

North Korea’s death rate has been a miracle, compared to other countries. WHO has doubts about their claims. The country apparently had relied heavily on lockdowns and homegrown medicine treatments which Kim called an “advantageous Korean style socialist system”. They also mentioned about the development of new methods to detect the virus and its variants, as well as other infectious diseases like monkeypox.
