Recently, in an interview, Karan talked about trolling on social media and the changing form of cinema and what kind of movies the audience likes to watch in theaters now. The producer also revealed why he took a long time of seven years to return to the director’s chair.
Karan said, ‘The atmosphere in our industry has been very turbulent. I have not directed any film for seven years. Also, the last three years were not easy for me or the industry. I hid a lot because I wanted to appear normal not only for my family but also for my company. So when the release date of the film was nearing, I was quite nervous. However, we must fully accept both success and failure. ,
Keeping his opinion on Hindi cinema, Karan said, ‘The past few years were bad for Bollywood as well and maybe the coming few years can be bad too. This does not mean that the audience should boycott Bollywood. To say that Bollywood is dead and the South has taken over would be a gross understatement. Hindi cinema is now continuously developing and in such a situation every industry wants to give something new and different to the audience.
Karan further added that ‘Gadar 2’, ‘Pathan’, ‘OMG 2’ and ‘Jailor’ have done exceptionally well at the box office. Filmmakers are expected to deliver even more good films to the audience every year in the future.
