Kangana Ranaut Journey Of Gaining 20 kgs To Become Jayalalitha Left Permanent Stretch Marks

Kangana Ranaut is a dedicated actress. Keeping aside her controversy and all  she is an versatile actress. She is know to give her all when it comes to any role in the movie. Everyone has been admiring her work in her recent film so Thalaivii. In the movie she played the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. 

She has been very vocal about her weight gain for her role in the movie. Kangana had to put on 20 kgs for her role. And than again loose it in 6 months. No doubt it was difficult but anyway she did it for her role. Her dedication was admired by fan and her role as Jayalalithaa did justice for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

The actress shared a picture of her 20 kgs look and slim look on her Instagram. She captioned it as “Gaining 20 kgs in 6 months and loosing it all within 6 months that too in my thirties messed up many things in my body… I also have permanent stretch marks as well but art comes to life with a price and more often than not price is the artist him/herself,” she wrote.

She gained and lost all these weight in 6 month- 6 month interval. She said the journey was incredible and she is proud of herself. The actor said although the journey was incredible and learning process. It left her with ‘permanent stretch marks. Kangana wrote how this way of pushing herself to achieve something for their characters is what keeps actors going.

Stretch marks occurred on her body because she gained and lost weight in a short time. Medically known as ‘straiae distensae’ they start off red or purple marks and then gradually fade into silverish marks. These older ones are more difficult to treat as compared to the red ones.

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut went down memory lane to share some pictures from her childhood. She took to Instagram to share the pictures with her fans. The Panga actor shared a couple of pictures from her childhood, where she is seen in a school uniform along with her sister Rangoli Chandel. “Small school in the valley called Hill View … year 1998. Himachal Pradesh.,” she captioned the picture. In another photo, Kangana can be seen posing at a temple.

Directed by A L Vijay and written by K V Vijayendra Prasad. Thalaivii had a good start and was welcomed warmly by the fans and box office. However, the film suffered losses due to COVID pandemic restrictions as theatres in Mumbai and Kerala are still closed. After 2 weeks of its released the makers decided to release it on OTT platform Netflix. The Hindi version of the film has already been released. But the Tamil and Telugu version will be released after 2 weeks.
