‘Janmashtami celebrations across the country’, congratulated PM Modi and shared three big achievements of the country

New DelhiPrime Minister Narendra Modi greeted all the countrymen on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. While addressing the Har Ghar Jal Utsav being held in Goa, the PM said, ‘Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated across the country. Many many congratulations to the devotees of Lord Shri Krishna spread across the world to all the countrymen. In his address, he shared three big achievements of the country.

PM Modi said, ‘Today I want to share three big achievements of the country with all the countrymen. Every countryman will be very proud to know about these achievements of India. Today we have crossed three important milestones related to the lofty goals that India is working on in Amritkal.

In his address, he said, ‘Today 10 crore rural households of the country have been connected with the facility of piped clean water. This is a big success of the government’s campaign to deliver water to the house. This is also a great example of everyone’s effort. The PM further said, ‘Today Goa has become the first state in the country, which has been water certified in every household. Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu have also become Har Ghar Jal Certified Union Territories. I convey my best wishes to the people of Goa, the Chief Minister, the institutions of local swaraj to everyone.

While addressing, Narendra Modi further said that the third achievement of the country is from Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He said, ‘A few years back with the efforts of all the countrymen, the country was declared open defecation free. After this we took a pledge that the villages will be made ODF Plus. The country has achieved an important milestone in this regard. More than one lakh villages of the country have become ODF plus.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Within just 3 years, 7 crore rural households have been connected with piped water facility under Jal Jeevan Mission. This is no ordinary achievement. In the 7 decades of independence, only 30 million rural households of the country had piped water facility.
