James Bond: “Happy” that fans of ‘The Bridgertons’ love him like the new 007

The Bridgertons , the new Netflix series , has put one of its leading actors in the spotlight. Regé-Jean Page , the one in charge of bringing the Duke of Hastings to life, has made numerous headlines recently. Among them, some related to the new James Bond . The actor has made such an impression on viewers of Shonda Rhimes’s fiction that they have begun to position him as the next agent 007. Now, Page himself has spoken about the possibility of replacing Daniel Craig after No Time to Die and has acknowledged that he’s “happy” to be seen as a candidate for the role.

“I think the Internet thinks many things and that is one of the most pleasant, so I can be happy with that,” begins the actor on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon . “But no, I think there could be an element of cultural translation here. If you’re British and you do something big that people like, then people start saying the B-word. You know, it’s like a badge of merit. You have the merit badge for the B word ”, he concludes.

As Page well points out, that he is a candidate to give life to the new James Bond is something that has emerged among the fans. At the moment, it is unknown who could replace Craig in the iconic role of agent 007. Most likely, to discover the face of the new British spy you will have to wait for the premiere of No Time to Die , the next installment of the character plans to hit theaters on April 2, 2021 .
