The first season of the series came out in February 2020, where seven episodes fell on February 26. It told the story of Syd (played by Sophia Lillis) who discovers she has telekinetic powers.
Season 2 was directly hinted at at the end of Syd, then he fled and the questions likely lingered after the mind-blowing events (heh) of the final episodes. Not only that, but we’re also left wanting to know more about “The Man” who mysteriously appears at the end of Season 1.

Officially, the series remains pending until Netflix officially gives the green light (either through a press release or an announcement on social media). Given the COVID-19 situation, some renewal announcements may not be made until it is clear that productions can safely begin.

We contacted Netflix but have not yet received a response regarding the renewal status of I’m not okay with this .
The series comes from 21 Laps Entertainment (and executive producer Shawn Levy) which has a great lineup on Netflix with a lot of development.
They are currently assisting with the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things plus and have assisted with the recently released Unsolved Mysteries (with more episodes on the way). They are also working on Shadow and Bone which is expected to come out in late 2020.
While you wait for the official announcements, we suggest that you go and take a look at The End of the Shitty World on Netflix, as has been confirmed the two exist within the same universe, albeit in a very flexible way. Both series are based on novels by the same author.
