Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone’s film Fighter underperformed

Siddharth Anand, in an interview with Galatta Plus, discussed the underperformance of the film Fighter despite positive reviews and word of mouth. According to Anand, Fighter represents a significant departure from the norm in Indian cinema, both in terms of its genre and the unexplored territory it ventures into. This lack of familiarity poses a challenge for the audience, as they have no reference point to understand and appreciate the film. Anand also highlights that a large percentage of the Indian population, approximately 90 percent, have never experienced flying or been to an airport. Therefore, it becomes difficult for them to comprehend the events taking place in the air.
