To apply for the post of SSC Stenographer, it is mandatory for the candidates to have passed class XII. But for this post, the candidate can apply, who has studied from a recognized board or university. To become SSC Stenographer, candidates should know shorthand in both English and Hindi languages, for which the candidate’s English speed should be such that he can write 80 words in at least 1 minute and according to Hindi shorthand speed. Also, the candidate should have practice writing at least 80 words in 1 minute.
Age Range
There are two grades in Stenographer Grade C and Grade D. Therefore, the minimum age of the candidates for Stenographer Grade C is 18 years and the maximum age should be 30 years, while the minimum age of the candidates for Stenographer Grade D should be 18 years and maximum age should be 27 years.
