“Chapel Waite”, set in 1950, is based on Stephen King’s 1978 short story “Jerusalem’s Lot”. It is an epistolary tale story through the correspondence between two friends. Epix, a cable channel is to premier the horror series, titled ‘Chapelwaite‘. The 1978 short story prequel to king’s 1975’s outbreak of Vampire. 1950’s chronicles, Salem’s Lot set, initially brought darkness to the novel’s sleepy Maine town setting. Indeed, Hampshire has joined Chapelwaite as the lead actor. Setting opposite to her as previously announced co-star, Oscar winner Adrien Brody.
The center of the attraction of this series is Captain Charles Boone, a widow left to take care of her three children at his family’s ancestral home. Whereas the titular Chapelwaite hides darkness that endures for generations. Followingly, Hampshire, an ambitious young woman left out from Preacher’s Corners to attend Mount Holyoke College. Later on, she returns with an advance to write a story for the new and renowned Atlantic Magazine.
After the arrival of her children in town, the writer’s block lift, despite his mother’s protests. Thus, Rebecca applies to govern the infamous Chapelwaite manor and the Boone family in order to write about them. Furthermore, Rebecca not only crafts the next great gothic novel but also reveals the mystery that has been planted on her own family for years.
