As per this year’s report, Singapore and Japan’s Tokyo city have been toppled from their top positions. While the Danish city is followed by Toronto in the second position, the third position has been grabbed by Singapore. While the Coronavirus pandemic has forced everyone to rethink what it means for a city to be safe, it has also drastically changed the concept of urban safety.
Reports state that to rank the countries, the study has taken into account 76 indicators across digital, health, personal-security, environmental, infrastructure sectors, and scored them out of 100.Further, two Indian cities, Mumbai and New Delhi, managed to grab spots in the Top 50 list, with 54.4 and 56.1 points respectively.
