Plot Of This Series
The storyline synopsis for Pieces of her is long compared to the usual TV synopses, but it explains the premise of the series quite well:
“Imagine if the person you thought you knew best turned out to be somebody you never knew at all?” Andrea knows everything about her mom, Laura. She knows she’s spent her entire life in the tiny seaside town of Belle Isle; she knows that she has never wanted anything more than to live a quiet life for a pillar of the community; she understands she has never kept a secret in her life. Because most of us know our moms, do not we? But that all changes when a trip to the mall explodes into violence and Andrea suddenly sees a completely different side to Laura. Because it turns out that before Laura was Laura, she had been a completely different individual.
For almost thirty decades, she has been hiding her previous identity, hoping that nobody could possibly find her. But today she’s been subjected and nothing will ever be the exact same again. The police want replies and Laura’s innocence is at stake, but she won’t speak to anyone, including her own daughter. Andrea is on a desperate journey after the breadcrumb trail of her mother’s past. And when she can’t discover the secrets behind them, there might be no potential for either.
