Heartland first aired in Canada in 2007. Due to a production schedule leading to an average of one year each year, it ultimately became the longest-running hour-long drama series to ever air in Canada. Because of its global availability on Netflix, Heartland has discovered its share of fans beyond its state of origin as well, very similar to Letterkenny before it.
Those with the means to have seen Heartland’s 14th season, however, could be looking toward the series’ future. During nearly all its time on the air, at the series’ forefront was love between series protagonists Amy and Ty. Nevertheless, (season 14 spoilers incoming) Ty is unlikely to return for another season. Bearing that in mind, here is everything we know about Heartland season 15.
Season 14 of’Heartland’ has just been dropped and not until the season finale can you get a sense of what to expect from season 15. Everything depends on where and how season 14 renders the Fleming family. However, our gut says a season 15 should be inevitable even if it turns out to be the series finale like some enthusiasts expect it to be. Overall, if season 15 of’Heartland’ is about the cards and anticipating renewal, we don’t anticipate it to release any moment before 2022.
Rounding out the core cast is Michelle Morgan as Lou Fleming, Chris Potter as Tim Fleming, and year 6 addition Alisha Newton as Georgie Morris. In arguably the most significant change-up in history, Chris Potter will not be arriving in Season 15 because of Tim Fleming, due to a plot point from early in Heartland’s 14th season.
Heartland’s lead character is Amy Fleming, who has been played with Amber Marshall in each episode of this series. While she has a number of additional credits to her name, her role in Heartland stays her most notable. Alongside her, Shaun Johnson plays ranch patriarch Jack Bartlett, the only other character to appear in every episode. His filmography includes a number of past recurring appearances on series such as Jake and the Kid and Wynonna Earp.
