DC Comics found a sudden hit on its hands when the animated Harley Quinn series turned into a breakout popular among audiences. The show is presently gearing up for the launch of its third season. The show co-showrunner Patrick Schumacker lately took to Twitter to discuss his enthusiasm over Harley’s new appearance from the upcoming season.

Interestingly, Harley Quinn sporting a full red gown was a major part of the footage in the upcoming reboot of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad in the teasers which have been released so far. From the footage, Margot Robbie can be viewed as Harley from the red dress wielding a set of firearms.

The next period of Harley Quinn may be taking some cues from Margot Robbie’s new appearance as Harley Quinn, even if how Robbie performs the character is quite different from how Kaley Cuoco arouses the character on the series. In the past, this gap had resulted in rumors of an ongoing feud between Robbie and Cuoco, to the stage that Cuoco had to quash the rumors this past year.

Apart from Harley’s new appearance, Season 3 of Harley Quinn is set to make some major updates to the series. Harley is now officially a few with long-lasting gal pal Poison Ivy. Doctor Psycho has turned against his former villainous allies and is plotting against them, Kite Man is nursing a broken heart after being left at the altar by Ivy, and Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman have to deal with the fallout after their chemically-induced threesome final season. This past year, Schumacker had voiced his excitement over finally getting began charting the various storylines for the new year.
