We have been waiting since the end of its season 2 for an announcement about season 3 of Harley Quinn and finally there are now official the animated series will be back for a new season!
DC Universe’s Harley Quinn adult animated series is one of our big favorites at DC (and we’re not the only ones), so it’s with great pleasure that we learn that the series is coming back for a third season (via THR). The duo Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker will be able to continue their series, but this time on HBO Max. Indeed, we have just learned (this does not surprise anyone) that DC Universe will refocus on comics and therefore cease to be a streaming service, which will force all of its series to move. This was already the case for the Doom Patrol whose season 3 was announced only for HBO Max, but also for Stargirl whose season 2 is scheduled only for the CW.
Also according to THR, the renewal of Harley Quinn was slow as long negotiations were underway for his new budget. However, we do not know if this means that the series will be entitled to a higher budget or not.
Finally, we don’t have a release date, or even a window for this third season of Harley Quinn.
