Gippy Grewal On Laal Singh Chaddha: Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal has said that the makers of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ did not heed his suggestion of re-dubbing some Punjabi dialogues in the film. Grewal and his team assisted the producers of the film Aamir Khan in correcting the Punjabi dialect during the making of the film.

In a conversation with DNA, Gippy Grewal shared that while he and his team were working on the Punjabi accent and accent of the film, everything was fine. But when the actor saw some glimpses of the film, he did not like it and brought it to the notice of the makers of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Gippy Grewal’s suggestions were not accepted

He told the publication, “My team including Rana Ranbir (actor-writer) helped him in writing the Punjabi dialogues. But once I saw the pace of the film, I suggested that they should re-dubb it to get true Punjabi. They agreed with me, but they didn’t change it.” Grewal admitted that the film failed to connect with the audience at a certain level because of this poor Punjabi language.
