Features of New 2022 KTM RC 390

The 2022 KTM RC 390 has finally showcased its completely new design language, adjustable suspension, lighter weight, and a bunch of new features. The twin-projector lens headlamps are used for a single LED headlamp. All this time there were a lot of cases of leaked images. But finally, KTM has revealed their new KTM RC 390. The fairing is new and has been updated for a gorgeous look.

The detailed section has been used and remade with lesser bodywork. That gave a touch of aggression in its profile. The bodywork of the 2022 RC 390 is grand Prix-inspired. It is larger than before, better for road presence & optimized aerodynamics, every pannel has redesigned on the bike says KTM. The styling is made for this version to be the better version of the present one. These new designs have enabled wind and weather protection. It also offers better heat management, dastar by using a combination of inner and outer body panels, to direct the airflow away from the rider.

The main aim of the new tail section is to show the steel trellis subframe. The range of the 2022 KTM RC is built with a weight reduction of 3.4 kg with extensive savings. The ByBre brakes save 960gm and the frame is lighter by 1.5 gm. It features a new exhaust system with stainless steel, harder pipes, and an aluminum muffler.

The KTM RC 390 is a next-gen bike along the 125 that has the same single-cylinder, a liquid-cooled option that has 40 percent larger airbox that allows the bike to breathe freely. The result of this is, it has provided more torque than the previous model, with better throttle response and acceleration. For the higher torque output, the engine has been remapped, motor churning out 43 bhp and 37 Nm, up from 35 Nm.

KTM RC 390 now has an adjustable open cartridge WP APEX USD like never before front forks along with the 30 compression clicks on the left, and 30 on the right. WP APEX monoshock which is adjustable allows it to take control of the rear with only five clicks for preload adjustability. It has a braking setup with a 320 mm single disc up front. ByBre caliper and a 230 mm disc with a single-piston fixed caliper.

The KTM also has a Supermoto ABS package along with an adjustable brake and clutch levers. It has 17-inch wheels, the spokes are fewer, and are for weight savings, with a 110/70 section at the front and a 150/60 tire at the rear. 2022 KTM RC 390 has also got a new TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity. This bike also had its features extended to the new RC 125.

As of now, there is no talk about the official launch date. This new 2022 KTM RC 360 model first started appearing at the dealerships in March 2022. It is quite suitable to say that India will potentially be one of the many first markets to get the new RC 390. The model is locally built and exported from Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant.
