The filming of Fantastic Beasts 3 faces another problem. According to Deadline , the production of the third installment of the Harry Potter prequel saga has stopped its production because a “member of the team” has tested positive for coronavirus .
The aforementioned media has published the Warner Bros. statement in this regard: “A member of the Fantastic Beasts 3 team has tested positive for COVID-19. The diagnosis has been confirmed as a result of the required tests that all production employees receive and the team member is currently in isolation. As a precaution, Fantastic Beasts 3 has paused production and will resume according to safety guidelines . ”
At the moment, it is unknown who is the member of the team who has tested positive for coronavirus. This news is reminiscent of what happened with the filming of The Batman , the movie about the Dark Knight of the DC film universe. Within days of resuming after the lockdown, Robert Pattinson , who plays Bruce Wayne , contracted the virus and production had to stop.
Fantastic Beasts 3 plans to hit theaters on July 15, 2022 . Eddie Redmayne will return as magizoologist Newt Scamander and Jude Law as a young Albus Dumbledore . Katherine Waterston , Alison Sudol , Ezra Miller and Dan Fogler will also be back, respectively, as Tina , Queenie , Credence, and Jacob .
