With the second of two of HBO’s two Euphoria specials premiering this Sunday (and available now to subscribers to Warner Media’s HBO Max streaming service – see below), the cable network is giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look.
In Euphoria Part 2: Jules, aka “F * CK Anyone Who’s Not A Sea Blob,” viewers find out how Jules (Hunter Schafer) spent the Christmas holidays reflecting on the past year, notably with Rue (Zendaya). Directed by series creator Sam Levinson, the special was co-written by Levinson and Schafer, who is also co-executive producer.

Even before its official announcement in October, Zendaya had hinted that a return to the series universe was planned for something “special” to fill the wait for the second season. “So we could end up doing a little episode of the bridge. I don’t know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited number of people in a safer environment that can, I don’t know, give people something, ”she told the ‘time.
Created, written and produced by Levinson, HBO’s Euphoria is produced in partnership with A24 and based on the Israeli series of the same name, which was created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, of HOT. Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Drake, Future the Prince, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokady and Gary Lennon are the executive producers, while Will Greenfield is the co-executive producer. Shafer is the executive producer for the upcoming HBO / HBO Max episode special.
