Ente Katha is one of the most famous autobiographies of all time. Kamala Surayya (Madhavikutty) has written the novel. Kamala has presented her life story in the form of a novel in Malayalam. As she thought will not survive, she was motivated to write a book to tell her life story.
On 1 February 1973, Ente Katha was published. The book was controversial and outspoken. After it was published in 1973, critics pursued her aggressively. Her vivid expression of her opinions on subjects in society often shocked her readers. She mentioned the society subjects and more often on the hypocrisy of it. Even though My Story was termed to be an autobiography, Kamala had admitted that there was a lot of fiction in it.

Kamala Das was an Indian poet in English as well as an author in Malayalam from Kerala, India. She was born on 31 March 1934 in Kerala. At the age of 15, she married Madhav Das. The couple had three sons together. Madhav Das died in the year 1992. In 1999, Kamala Surayya converted to Islam. Subsequently, she announced that she planned to marry her Muslim lover. Although, she never remarried. She died on 31 May 2009, at the age of 75.
Her popularity in Kerala is based majorly on her short stories and autobiography. However, she used to write in English under the name Kamala Das. Her English poems are noteworthy and her autobiography is termed as explicit.
