Elvish Yadav, a well-known YouTuber and winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2 was arrested on March 17 for allegedly arranging and supplying snakes and snake venom to rave parties. The arrest followed months of investigation into a case involving a group of individuals supplying snake venom to such events. Last year, a raid in Noida led to the recovery of nine snakes. Including five cobras, and the seizure of snake venom, bringing Yadav’s involvement in the case to light.
Yadav and five other people were the target of a complaint from the ‘People for Animals’ NGO, which was headed by Maneka Gandhi. The other five were accused of supplying snake venom at a party in Noida. Yadav was taken into detention alongside five others as well. Against Section 120A of the IPC (criminal conspiracy) and the Wildlife (Protection) Act. He had been asked to put on a rave party and get cobra venom, reportedly to an NGO sting operation.
The five people who were detained had snakes in their possession. Including snake charmers, which the police found during their investigation. Elvish Yadav was further linked to the case by a video that showed him holding two snakes. Yadav, on the other hand, denied any involvement and asserted that Bollywood singer Fazilpura had arranged for the snakes to belong to a production house.
