The theatrical trailer for the second instalment of the Avatar franchise, The Way Of Water, was released the other day to rave reviews from all corners.

Avatar 2 hopes to join the ranks of other longer Hollywood tentpoles that have done well in theatres, such as Avengers: Endgame (three hours and two minutes) and Cameron’s Titanic (three hours and 14 minutes). The two films are ranked No. 2 and No. 3 on Comscore’s list. The top-grossing films of all time at the global box office, not adjusted for inflation.
This sequel, set a decade after the 2009 Avatar, reintroduces Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaa’s characters’ children. The film will be longer than three hours, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with a running time of three hours and ten minutes.
The first trailer debuted in May and received 148.6 million views on its first day, which Cameron says helped reassure him that there is still a demand for the film. He has five films planned for Avatar, with all of Part 3 — and some of Part 4 — already completed.
