Durvesh Yadav is a serial entrepreneur and a best- selling author who has received the world record for his most unique motivational book.
Though many self-help books have been written conventionally but the concept of Durvesh’s book is extremely unique. His Book “What They Don’t Teach Us” is the one making a difference as it talks about the concept of changing the pattern of people’s existence.
Durvesh is of the opinion that since childhood everyone has been following a certain pattern of life, and we follow that pattern to live up to the societal norms and expectations of people. According to him, the set pattern is similar to the hands of the clock -Going to school and completing education, getting a degree, a nine to five job and then getting married, having kids. This cycle adds a huge layer of responsibility including buying a house, paying EMI’s besides taking care of the family members.
This defined pattern is common for more than 95% of the middle class people. To transform one’s life, it is necessary to break a cycle being followed over a long period of time. Durvesh questions Why it is so that one can’t earn money without a degree? Or achieve something without graduation? These questions didn’t act as a barrier for Durvesh and he proved every one wrong the day he started making lakhs of rupees while studying in college. This is just one example out of the many patterns he broke which the societal beliefs confined him to.

This inspired him to write a book to teach the young people. He wrote this book in a different manner, where the text of every chapter’s first page is 180 degrees inverted as a result of which people have to flip the book to continue reading. This concept of writing focused on the intent that people can start changing the way they do all the things in life, which can be as simple as reading a book. Durvesh’s book has also been supported by some of the great Bollywood celebs.

Durvesh has faced a lot of setbacks in his life. The first setback was when he failed his 10th standard and his friends and family members used to taunt him. Somehow, with sheer will and determination he cleared std. 10th in his second attempt and then studied further. During his college, he was a brilliant student and maintained a score of 8.45 (CGPA) during the initial phase of pursuing his graduation. However, one thought that kept bothering him was the essence of maintaining a good score throughout college life for a job with no freedom and this overthinking added to his mental stress and his score dropped to 2 (CGPA) and he failed to secure a job in a good company. This led to another phase of depression, and he hit rock bottom. In due course of time, through motivational films and books somehow he was able to overcome his mental state. One fine day he shredded the idea of relying on companies for a job and thought of manifesting his own unique path to success. At the young age of 22, the ambitious entrepreneur Mr. Durvesh Yadav authored a book, “What They Don’t Teach Us: A Student’s Guide for a Meaningful Life”, a book written to assist young people to comprehend what no one teaches them in society, schools, and colleges. Through his book, he has successfully made an attempt to change the orthodox narrative of life lived by our forefathers for years and transformed the way people think about our education system. He has questioned the way young minds of this generation are taught. His vision for the reformed education system comprises of an inclusive approach and a complete transformation from the memorizing and rote learning tactics to practical implementation and theoretical enhancement of calibre.
According to Durvesh Yadav, in order to achieve one’s goals, a person needs to be very explicit and clearly defined.
