Deadpool 3: Release Date, Cast And Will It Be In The MCU?

A third, untitled movie starring Ryan Reynolds since the wise-cracking Marvel superhero Deadpool is now in the works at Marvel Studios. While it’s going to be a while before lovers reunite with Wade Wilson about the large screen, there is a couple of things that we already know about Deadpool’s next big-screen adventure.

In 2019, Disney formalized the acquisition of former rival studio 20th Century Fox (now 20th Century Studios), which at the time held the movie and TV rights to Marvel intellectual property, more specifically everything and anything related to the X-Men. With the acquisition, Disney-owned Marvel has recovered access to the mutants, also is on the verge of introducing the characters back into its popular Marvel Cinematic Universe. That includes Deadpool.

Here’s what we know up to now about the next Deadpool, unofficially titled Deadpool 3. Bookmark this site and check back often as we will update this webpage with more information and promotional materials as they come out.

Deadpool 3 Is Coming, But Doesn’t Have A Release Date Yet

There’s currently no official release date for Deadpool 3, but the movie is occurring. While there was a lot of speculation concerning what would happen to the movie, former Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that Marvel Studios intended to make more Deadpool movies long ago, while Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also shared his interest in maintaining the franchise going. More lately, Feige confirmed that, while authors are hired for the sequel, fans should not expect the film to be out in theatres anytime soon. Filming on Deadpool 3 is not set to begin until 2022 at the earliest.

Who’s In The Deadpool 3 Cast?

Thus far, we only know for sure that Ryan Reynolds will once more star as Wade Wilson/Deadpool at Deadpool 3.

It is only possible, but not confirmed, that additional franchise staples such as Zazie Beats (“Domino”), Stefan Kapičić (“Colossus”), Brianna Hildebrand (“Negasonic Teenage Warhead”), Morena Baccarin (“Vanessa”), Karan Soni (“Dopinder”), and Leslie Uggams (“Blind Al”) will also return to their roles. Their characters stayed alive at the end of Deadpool two, but it’s not known if they will reunite for Deadpool 3.

Actor T.J. Miller, who starred as Weasel in both films, was accused of unprofessional and sexual misconduct who has more or less finished his career. It’s unlikely he will go back for Deadpool 3.

With Deadpool 3 to take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we also shouldn’t rule out any prospective cameos.

Deadpool 3: Can It Be In The MCU?

Among the biggest questions surrounding Deadpool 3 is whether or not it will be connected to the MCU. Deadpool 3 will allegedly keep the franchise’s R-rating, indicating the first time Marvel Studios will earn an R-rated MCU film. Thanks to the fourth-wall-breaking trends of Deadpool, it wouldn’t be difficult to describe the continuity. Fortunately, Deadpool 3 has been verified as part of the MCU. In an interview using Collider, Feige revealed the”very different kind of personality” will officially be joining the MCU appropriate. That is huge news and, although the movie won’t be out for a little while, it’ll be intriguing to find out how the Merc with a Mouth fits in with all the other MCU characters moving ahead. Either way, it’s bound to be a wild ride.
