Last year following the launch of the TV series Mindhunter Season two, fans were shocked when they heard that Netflix will be ending its contract with the celebrities and put the show on indefinite hold. According to the report, the executive producer David Fincher was drained of this creation for Season two. Hence, he’s not interested to produce Mindhunter Season 3.
After that, Netflix did set Mindhunter Season 3 on”indefinite hold.” Here is the official statement of Netflix released earlier:
“David is focused on directing his original Netflix film Mank and on creating the next season of Love, Death, and robots,” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement. “He may revisit Mindhunter again later on, but at the meantime felt it was not fair to the actors to maintain them from seeking additional work while he had been researching new job of his own.”
A number of Mindhunter celebrities were released from their contract, namely Jonathan Groff (played FBI representative Holden Ford), Holt McCallany (Bill Tench), and Anna Torv (psychologist Wendy Carr). However, as David Fincher’s brainchild Mank was released annually in November, psychological crime thriller drama fans are expecting Netflix to declare Mindhunter Season 3.

To the gladden lovers, if we look back, David Fincher stated in a recent conversation”Listen, to get the viewership that it had, it was a really expensive show. We talked about,’ End Mank and see how you feel,’ but I honestly don’t think we’re likely to be able to do it for less than that I did in season two. And on some level, you need to be realistic bucks have to equal eyeballs.”
In another conversation, he said he had no plans to revive Mindhunter for Season 3. He explained saying the restricted funding is one reason for indefinitely holding it. “I really don’t know if it makes sense to continue. It was a costly screen. It had an extremely passionate audience, but we got the numbers that justified the cost.”
However, some media outlets have released that Mindhunter Season 3 was canceled. However, it has not been officially canceled by Netflix yet. What’s relying upon David Fincher if he’ll return with Mindhunter Season 3 or never. There’s a whole lot more story to the state from the next season.
