Padma Shri Awards Ceremony was very recently held on November 8 2021 and some of the awardees were also from Bollywood. Celebs like Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut attended the event to receive the highest civilian honour by President Ram Nath Govind. Many Bollywood celebrities congratulated Karan and Kangana. Some of the celebrities that wished them were Varun Dhawan, Janvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan. They penned down heartfelt notes for both the actor and producer and shower them with love.
The actress also shared a special video sharing her happiness on making such a big achievement. Karan Johar felt surreal, honoured and humbled after receiving Padma Shri Award at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday.
Karan Johar also shared the video of winning the award and wrote “This is a monumental day for me, my mother, my kids and my company, and will forever be etched in my memory. Thank you so much for all your wishes and the abundance of love!”.
Many fans and celeb congratulated him and flooded his video with comments “Bravo, Karan,” Ranveer Singh wrote. “Congratulations,” Madhuri Dixit commented. “Congratulations sir. so well deserved,” Tiger Shroff added.

Varun Dhawan who is closed to Karan Johar took over Instagram and posted a picture of Karan on an Instagram story and wrote “Congratulations @karanjohar on this momentous achievement.”
Karan Johar also shared the news on his Twitter and was overwhelmed to share the news and was grateful for such news and wrote “It’s not very often that I am at a loss for words, but this is one such occasion The Padma Shri. Such an honour to receive one of the civilian awards in the country. Overwhelmed by so many emotions right now. Humbled, elated and also thankful for the opportunity to live my dream every day, to create and to entertain. I know my father would be proud and I wish he was here to share this moment with me. #blessed.”
On the work front, Karan Johar is busy with many upcoming movies in line. Some of his upcoming projects are Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, which stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Apart from that, he also has ‘Takht’ in his kitty.
Besides directing movies he is also busy producing a number of movies in line. His most recent production was for Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’. Also, he will be producing for Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’.
He is very excited for his upcoming projects besides directing and producing. Karan Johar is all set to launch South Sensation Vijay Deverakonda in Bollywood. He was be starred in the movie ‘Liger’ which is most likely to be directed by Karan Johar and Ananya Panday will be the leading actress.
