Photos from the set of Bridgerton season 2 show off Daphne’s elderly brother’s prominent role in the upcoming season. The Netflix period romance debuted over the Christmas holiday at the end of 2020 on its way to becoming the streamer’s biggest original series debut of all time. The show follows the titular family as they navigate high-profile romances in Regency-era London. Their escapades are all reported on by the mysterious figure called Lady Whistledown, who publishes a weekly gossip tabloid reporting on the latest couplings.
Bridgerton season 1 followed Phoebe Dynevor’s Daphne Bridgerton and her rocky romance with Simon, Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). The first eight episodes reasoned with Simon and Daphne inviting a child into their lives following a tumultuous start to their love, but season 2 will change gears. Like the books that the series is based on, Bridgerton season two will follow a different Bridgerton family, together with eldest sibling Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) searching for love this time around.
Photographs posted by Bridgerton star Luke Newton, who performs third oldest Colin Bridgerton, posted images from the show’s London set. One of the pictures shows Newton alongside Benedict Bridgerton actor Luke Thompson. Newton also posted a snapshot of Thompson and Bailey goofing off behind the scenes between takes and another movie of himself along with Thompson atop horses.

The prominence of these male Bridgerton siblings in the photographs should come as no surprise. While all three of the eldest male Bridgerton brothers had their share of plotlines from the series’ first season, Daphne was the season’s real celebrity. Anthony was mostly happened with his urge to prevent Daphne from marrying his buddy Simon while trying to recover the confidence of his Opera singer lover, Siena Rosso. Colin was also involved in his scandal when it was disclosed that the woman trying to court, Marina Thompson, was hiding a pregnancy.
Benedict was exploring his wild side throughout the first season of Bridgerton alongside Anthony, but it feels like all three of them might be getting ready to settle down. Colin has returned from the trip he planned to take at the end of the final season and seeing his eldest brothers find romantic partners could inspire him to locate his own. Each of the attention will certainly be on Anthony, however. Together with his on-screen romantic partner cast in Simone Ashley, Bridgerton season 2 will be as romantic and steamy as its first season.
