Bridgerton Season 2: Netflix Release Date, Expected Cast & Everything We Know So Far

If you are like us, then you are totally and utterly obsessed with Netflix’s Bridgerton and will need to know whether another season is on its way.

Well, it’s happening! Netflix confirmed Bridgerton season two on Wednesday, January 21. “Prepare for another social season. Bridgerton is returning for season two, only on Netflix,” reads a tweet by the show’s account.

Bridgerton Season 2 Release Date

Almost a month after the show’s release, Netflix verified that it would renew Bridgerton to get another season. There are no details about the release date yet, but a teaser video ends with a shot of Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), hinting that another installment will focus on him.

Fans suspected that the information was coming after several websites reported a record in Production Weekly for a project titled”Bridgerton 02,” which would commence in Uxbridge, England in March 2021. Now, however, it is official.

What Will The Bridgerton Season 2 Plot Be About?

The initial season was inspired by Quinn’s first book, The Duke and I, and concentrates on the connection between Simon Basset and eldest Bridgerton sibling Daphne Bridgerton. Meanwhile, the next book, The Viscount Who Loved Me book, turns to London’s most eligible bachelor Anthony Bridgerton and also his relationship with a woman called Edwina. However, there is 1 problem: Edwina’s sister Kate Sheffield, who is described as”the most meddlesome woman ever to grace a London ballroom”. As for Lady Whistledown, voiced by Julie Andrews, she’ll of course return to create more mischief with her Society Papers.
