Bollywood celebrities start to visit the Lakshadweep campaign using hashtags “Investigate the Indian Islands”

Bollywood Celebrities from the Indian film industry began visiting Lakshadweep as part of the Explore Indian Islands campaign, which was trending on social media amid the growing tensions between Maldivian political leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his visit.

Talking about Bollywood Celebrities who have given their opinion on the campaign

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez posted on X, stating that she wanted 2024 to be all about travel and discovering stunning and picturesque places closer to home. The #Lakshwadeep islands, a natural paradise, are at the top of my list. I am eager to visit this wonderland because I have heard so much about it! #ExploreIndianIslands.

Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of the Serum Institute of India (SII), also used X to advertise travel to Indian islands. Numerous incredible tourist spots in our nation are still waiting to reach their full potential. Based only on the photos I’ve uploaded, is there anyone here who can identify this Indian tourist destination? He wrote, “#ExploreIndianIslands @PMOIndia.”

“Seeing our honorable prime minister @narendramodi sir at the beaches in Lakshadweep makes me realize I have been missing out on our pristine beaches and water,” actor Varun Dhawan wrote on X. I’m eager to plan my next vacation and #ExploreIndianIslands.

The stunning island nations of India were also mentioned by actor Tiger Shroff. Lakshadweep islands have won my heart; I feel lost in their azure embrace. Salman Khan, John Abraham, and actor Akshay Kumar and other Bollywood Celebrities had also praised the beauty of Indian islands earlier in the day.

PM Modi also visited the Lakshadweep campaign

This is amid a controversy surrounding disparaging and “anti-Indian” statements made by leaders, public figures, and ministers in the Maldives following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.

On January 2, Prime Minister Modi paid a visit to the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. He shared several photos from his visit, including one of his “exhilarating experiences” of trying his hand at snorkeling. PM Modi posted images of the snow-white beaches, crystal-clear blue skies, and the ocean on X, tagging them with the words, “Lakshadweep has to be on your list for those who want to accept their inner adventurer.”

I recently got the chance to spend time with the Lakshadweep community. I’m constantly in awe of the incredibly beautiful scenery of its islands and the incredibly kind people. I had the opportunity to speak with people in Agatti, Bangaram, and Kavaratti. I express my gratitude to the islanders for their kindness. PM Modi posted on X, “Here are some glimpses, including aerial glimpses from Lakshadweep.”

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi also dedicated over Rs 1,150 crore worth of development projects in Agatti. Notably, President Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives is seen as having close ties to China; in fact, he ran the election on the platform of “India Out.” In terms of India-Maldives relations, he has made several unconventional moves since taking office.
