BIJAY ANAND, HIS AGE, FAMILY, AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Bijay Anand was born on March 26, 1956, and as of 2021, he is of 65 years. He did his graduation from Golden Bridge Yoga, Rishikesh, India. Nothing is known about his family as in father, mother, or siblings, but he is married to Sonali Khare, a Marathi movie and television actress, and it’s been 14 years since their marriage. They have one beautiful daughter, Sanaya Anand. It was believed that he was inclined towards acting since his childhood but his family never supported him. When he still pursued his career in acting, his family never opposed him either.

Bijay left his acting career decades ago and since then he has dedicated his life to yoga and spirituality. He got his training from Kundalini Research Institute in Los Angeles and became a certified yoga master. He is popularly known for his roles as Rahul in the movie “Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha” in 1998, starring Ajay Devgn and Kajol. Rahul was seen as the fiance of Kajol in the movie. He made his acting debut in the movie “Yash” in 1996. Before he was offered the role in the movie “Yash”, he was working as an actor in the tv show “Aasman Se Aage” in which he played opposite Amrita Singh. Bijay played the role of King Janak in the mythological show “Siya Ke Ram”, and this was after a long time that he made a comeback on the small screen after 17 long years. He also appeared in the biopic series of Sunny Leone “Karenjeet Kaur- The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone”. Bijay was in the role of Sunny’s father. After “Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha” turned out be a super hit, Bijay gave a statement, “After Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha became a hit, I was offered with 22 films as the main lead but I decided to quit the industry because my heart told me to do so. I have seen everything, poverty, struggle and I wanted to be known as an actor but when I finally I realized that it has no meaning”.
Bijay left the industry at the age of 26 when he suffered from arthritis. Bijay is now a yoga teacher and teaches in both US and India.

Bijay loves traveling, photography, and horse riding. In 1995, he was signed by Femina Magazines an Indian Male Model. After giving a big hit, he was approached with the number of movies but it was then that he realized he was not at all into fame and decided to quit the industry. He spoke about his decision and said that fame never realized him to be on high in the sky. Bijay also said, “I live life on my intuitions and go wherever my intuitions take me. Something in me told me to give up acting and then I just did that. It was both courageous and crazy, but I was glad I did it.”
