Social Media is not real
Bella has always been vocal about mental health and awareness. However, in her post she has been more candid than ever before. Being vulnerable in front of the audience of 47 million people is a tough row to hoe. But, Bella did it, she expressed her innermost and real feeling through the medium of social media. In her post, she wrote, “Social media is not real”. Reassuring people suffering with mental health illness, she added, “For anyone struggling, please remember that. Sometimes all you’ve gotta hear is that you’re not alone. So from me to you, you’re not alone. I love you, I see you, and I hear you.”
Further, she emphasized on the uniqueness of everyone’s own mental health battles. No two battles are the same and it’s a struggle that goes on. Bella’s family members, friends and fans applauded her for showing great courage and being vulnerable enough to share her story. Willow Smith wrote, “Your honesty and tenderness heals so many.”
In the United States, depression and anxiety have become more common during the ongoing global pandemic. At such times, it becomes even more necessary to work on and take care of our mental health.
