Batwoman continues to plummet Tougher in the ratings Compared to the Joker into a vat of chemicals. The CW DC series was losing audiences all season, with almost every incident breaking a new record to become the show’s least-viewed yet. This past Sunday’s installment titled”Rule #1″ once more broke new ground, as fewer than 450,000 pairs of eyeballs captured the outing, a sharp drop from the 550,000 that saw the preceding week’s event.
It’s curious that matters continued to drop after a week at which Batwoman was back in the headlines. Krypton’s Wallis Day was hired to perform a recast of Kate Kane, taking on the function Ruby Rose left after season 1. Though Day has yet to show up on the series, you might think viewers would have tuned in from intrigue for how this storyline was going to unfold. However, it seems like the casting only further confused audiences, particularly as we’ve only got used to Javicia Leslie as fresh lead Ryan Wilder.
“Rule #1” also introduced Peter Outerbridge’s Dark Mask, shown to be the one who’s got the comatose Kate Kane captive, shifting both her appearance and messing with her own memories. It seems like he could be planning to flip the heroine to his pawn, which means we could possibly expect a clash between both Batwomen when Day eventually debuts.
