Each one of us are a fan of love stories and thanks to Bollywood for keeping up the craze of love stories. But not only cinema but also television are known for their love stories. Out of such love stories one story that Telly fans can never forget is that of Ram & Priya in the show ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hai’. The show kickstarted the trend of mature love stories on Indian Television and was one of a kind of show.
The chemistry of Ram and Priya made us wonder does love stories like this really exist in the real world. Many of us are driven towards young love stories as it had the feeling of youthfulness. The first kiss, the first time holding hands and the first time hugging each other. On the other hand older love stories have a complicated graph, and has their own complexities. But these duo manage to hooked their audience and in less than a month they gain huge fan following.
Ekta Kapoor who is known for her Saas- Bahu soap operas , came up with this unique and different story. Showing the love story of a man in his 40s and woman in her 30s. We met Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar playing the lead of Ram and Priya in the show ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hai’ in 2011 . They both were not looking for love but found it anyway.
They had their own share of experiences and are not easy to be floored by others. The cupid in their love story was destiny, the two got married only to find love in each other.

At first Ekta was warned by the critics that the couple will not be accepted by the audience. But little did the critics know that the show would turn out to be one of the most loved show. Not only men and women in their 30s and 40s loved this show but also younger audience admired them .
Priya’s character was contemporary, practical and relatable . On the other hand , the role of Ram was strict but had a sweet side which can only be brought into light by Priya. Ram became the National crush because of the way his character was written . These unusual couple worked and their love story kickstarted and set a trend for mature love. The magic that these show created can never be recreated again and no couple can do it.
And now a decade later, the producer is set to bring a fresh and new season of the show. The show will have the same plot but these time with fresh faces, New season will starred Nakkul Mehta and Disha Parmar . The couple has already worked together in a different show ” Pyaar ka dard hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara”. Their chemistry in the show was very much admired by the audience as well. And fans are looking forward for the new season of ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hoh’.
It will be a challenge for the new couple to match the chemistry of Ram and Priya. But we are excited to see fresh face and fresh chemistry.
