Her Early Life and Education

Anushka Shetty is an Indian model and actress who majorly works in Kollywood(Tamil cinema) and Tollywood (Telugu cinema). Born on November 07, 1981 (Present age: 40 years old) in Mangalore, Karnataka, Anushka’s real name is Sweety Shetty. Her parents are Prafulla and A. N. Vittal Shetty.  Anushka has two elder brothers named Gunaranjan Shetty and Sai Ramesh Shetty. Gunaranjan is a businessman while her other brother is a doctor.

She has graduated with a  degree in Bachelor of Computer Applications from Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. Many people don’t that Anushka is a professionally trained yoga instructor. She has been trained under Bharat Thakur.

Her Career

In  2005, Anushka made her debut in the cinema industry from the Telugu film Super. She played the role of Sasha in the film. Thereafter, she went on to star in a number of Telugu films such as Vikramarkudu (2006), Arundhati (2009), Vedam (2010), Rudramadevi (2015), Size Zero (2015), and Baahubali: The Beginning (2015). In Baahubali, she played the role of Devasena who is the biological mother of Baahubali. It was one of her most epic roles. Due to her acting as Devasena, Anushka got a title as Lady Superstar in the industry.

In 2006, Anushka debuted in the Tamil film industry with the action film Rendu. The film was directed by Sundar C. and Anushka was opposite R. Madhavan. Soon after in the 2010s, she achieved success in Tamil cinema.  Anushka did films like the action films Singam (2010), its sequel Singam II (2013), and Yennai Arindhaal (2015). She was then seen in the 2018 trilingual movie, ‘Bhaagmathie’. In the film, Anushka plays the role of  Bhaagamathie or Chanchala IAS. In the story, Chanchala is sent to prison after killing her fiancé.

Physical Attributes

According to rumors, post the super hit film Baahubali, Anushka was dating her co-star Prabhas. However, none of them have confirmed the same. Once in a media interaction, Anushka said, “Prabhas is one of my 3 AM friends.” Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu had announced their decision to part ways a few months ago.
