Akshay Kumar Starrer Bellbottom All Set To Make A Theatric Release Soon

Producers and distributors have declared the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Bellbottom this month on 19th in theatres in 3D and 2D and it will be the first major release in theatres since cinemas are also reopening with 50% capacity in Mumbai and Delhi. Several other states have also been permitted to resume cinema reopening operations, which include Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.

Akshay Kumar, in an interview regarding Bellbottom, has said, “The pressure is there on everybody but I’m very sure that things are going to work out. There’s a challenge, a risk. But if you haven’t taken the risk in life, then what have you done? So we have gone with it”. Further he adds, “In this journey, I have my producers who have also taken the risk and that’s how we have proceeded”.  Apoorva Mehta, CEO of DharmaProduction has said, “We are eagerly waiting to see theatres reopen with full capacity. That said, we also acknowledge the uncertainty of the current situation. As the adage goes, health is wealth — and it is all the more important now,”.

During the pandemic, Akshay Kumar has also shot for the movie Ram Setu and Raksha Bandhan.In a story, inspired by true events, Akshay Kumar plays the role of a RAW agent where he sets out on a rescue operation to save the hostages from a hijacked plane in Bellbottom. A full thriller and action-packed movie are set in the 1980s true events of plane hijack by terrorists. It is about one of India’s forgotten heroes who set out on a ‘covert mission to rescue 210 hostages from a hijacked plane.

This was an incident that took place in 1984, which took the whole of India to storm at that time. Lara Dutt plays a significant role in the movie, of Indira Gandhi, who was the Prime Minister when this event occurred. Vaani Kapoor is seen in the role of the wife of Akshay Kumar. The outline of the film reads, “Amongst multiple heinous airplane hijacks, India was made to face another such challenge in 1984. BellBottom, a RAW agent played by Akshay Kumar sees through the plan and thus, begins India’s first covert operation. A story based on true events, led by BellBottom, that went on to create one of the most defining moments of the country.”

Ajay Devgn congratulated Akshay for his comeback in theatres, “Congratulations Akki. The trailer of Bell Bottom is terrific. I’m so glad you are taking the lead in making it a theatrical release. With you in this endeavor. Always stay ahead”. Hrithik Roshan also took to his Twitter handle that read, “Team #BellBottom is here to bring back theatrical experience in style on 19th August 2021. Invigorating trailer guys! Congratulations Jackky and team.”

The film’s shooting was wrapped up in October 2020 and Akshay called this journey, which has “put the Hindi film industry right on the global map.” Akshay Kumar has shared a video on his Twitter account for his fans and has asked to enjoy the thrill with full feel on August 19th. Ranjit M Tewari is the director of the film.
