Known businessman and husband of businesswoman and actress Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, was arrested on July 19th by Mumbai Police for filming porn and publishing it on apps. The complaint was filed that Raj Kundra secretly and allegedly makes porn films and publishes them through different apps. Soon after the investigation had begun, several celebrities gave their statements regarding the same. To name a few, Poonam Pandey, Mika Singh, Sherlyn Chopra, and some others gave different statements about their personal experience in the case. Poonam Pandey filed a criminal case too against Raj Kundra and his company.
Sagarika Sona Suman, an actor, and a model, during an investigation of the case, spoke against Raj Kundra and his company. In February 2021, she said that Raj’s PA Umesh Kamat offered her a role in a web series produced by Raj Kundra and that via a video call she will be asked to give an audition, but in name of the audition, she was asked to go nude on that video call where she straight away rebutted. Recently, she again disclosed some more information considering the case. She said that it all starts with a bikini shoot and gradually they start filming nude videos of the girls. Even Sagarika confidently claims that these girls were also sent to objectionable places to shoot vulgar videos.
After her statement was made against Raj Kundra, she now claims of receiving death and rape threats on WhatsApp as well as on Messenger. She says, after she disclosed all about Raj Kundra and how he and his PA Umesh Kamat used to work, she is receiving threats and abusive calls and messages from all different numbers, “I am disturbed and depressed because I am getting calls from different online platforms. They are threatening me. I am getting threats of death and rape. People are calling me from different numbers and asking me what wrong has Raj Kundra done”. She says,“They are threatening me and accusing me of shutting down their business. They even said that you people watch porn films that`s why we are making it.”No police complaint has been filed by Sagarika Suman yet, but the report says soon she will be filing a police complaint.
Hemant Nagrale, Mumbai Police commissioner said, “He appears to be the key conspirator. We have sufficient evidence regarding this,”. Police also raised Raj Kundra’s house and they found the servers and 70 porn videos filmed by him and his assistant Umesh Kamat. Along with this, the bank account of Raj, with a deposit of around 7.5cr has been frozen by the police. During the press conference, Mumbai police also revealed that there has been no involvement found of the wife of Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty, in the case as yet. A total of 11 people has been arrested in the case so far.

Earlier Raj Kundra was sent in police custody till July 23rd, which is now extended till July 27th.
