Actor Sharlto Copley Was roped in for Russian Doll season 2 at Netflix.
Russian Doll stars Natasha Lyonne as a New York woman (Nadia) who becomes caught in an infinite loop of attending her own birthday party only to die and replicate the nighttime over and over again.
The first season also starred Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez, Elizabeth Ashley, and Charlie Barnett. Celebrities Chloë Sevigny, Dascha Polanco, Brendan Sexton III, Rebecca Henderson, Jeremy Bobb, Ritesh Rajan, and Jocelyn Bioh appeared in guest-starring roles.
As of now, no details concerning the next season’s storyline or character descriptions are readily available. It was previously announced that Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) and Carolyn Michelle Smith (Colony) will join the entire year as recurring cast members.
Russian Doll season 1 was nominated for 13 Emmys, finally winning three of them. Lyonne picked up among the nominations for best actress in a comedy, while the series itself was nominated for best comedy series.
Copley, who is best known for District 9, will also be seen in the titular role of Ted Kaczynski (aka the Unabomber) in Ted K.
