Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan is an Indian actor, singer, director, and filmmaker. Born on 14 March 1965 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Aamir Khan’s age is 56 years old.  His father was Tahir Hussain and his mother was Zeenat Hussain. Many of his relatives were part of the Hindi film industry and even his father was a film producer.

He has 3 siblings- 2 sisters and a brother. Aamir is the eldest child in his family. As a child actor, Aamir Khan appeared on screen in the film  Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973).  He attended J.B. Petit School for his pre-primary education. Later, he switched to St. Anne’s High School in Bandra and studied there until the eighth grade.  Post that, he joined Bombay Scottish School in Mahimhis where he finished his ninth and tenth grade. During his school days, Aamir used to play tennis in state-level championships. Soon, he became a state-level champion. Aamir completed his school education at the Narsee Monjee College in Mumbai.

His interest in movies prospered when he got involved in the 40-minute silent film, Paranoia. It was directed by his school friend and from then onwards his interest in entertainment began. Aamir debuted with the film Holi. It was based on a play by Mahesh Elkunchwar. Holi showcased the practice of ragging in India and Aamir played the role of a rowdy college student. Subsequently, he did many films like  Awwal Number, Tum Mere Ho, Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin, and Jawani Zindabad. However, none of the films were commercially successful. Thereafter, he was part of the romantic drama film Dil opposite Madhuri Dixit. This film was Aamir’s first major hit and became the highest-growing film of that year. Subsequently, he gave many box office hits such as Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), and Rangeela (1995).

In the year 2001, he debuted as a producer with the film Lagaan. This film won him various National and International awards. Till now, Aamir Khan is popularly known as Mr. Perfectionist in the industry. He is famous because of his choice of films. He has done some widely appreciated films like Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Ghajini, Dangal, and Secret Superstar.
