Lucknow: In view of the state assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will run the UP Jodo campaign for a month from July 8, in which the target of making about 25 thousand members in each assembly has been kept. In this context, the target is to make one crore members in the whole of Uttar Pradesh in a month.
AAP MP and state in-charge Sanjay Singh told reporters on Wednesday, “In this we will go from village to village and contact people. Will go and camp among them. Our workers will go from village to village with receipts, but this entire membership will be free. One does not have to pay a single penny to become a member of Aam Aadmi Party. In this way, we have set a target of making one crore members in a month. ”
In the membership drive, different missed call numbers will be issued within 403 assembly constituencies. Wall writing work will be done from 25 June to 28 July. There will be a missed call number on this and there will be an appeal to become a member of Aam Aadmi Party. Those who become members of the fellow party with the receipt, their complete data will be maintained assembly wise, on the basis of which the responsibility will be given to them from booth level to the assembly.
He said, “Through this campaign, we aim to discuss the model of Kejriwal, tell people how we can provide free electricity to Uttar Pradesh. How can we provide free education in UP. How can we provide free health care? How can we give jobs to the youth and unemployment allowance to the unemployed. How can we give allowance and pension etc. to widows and elderly people. We will tell how the Aam Aadmi Party will work to write a new history here by handling the law and order situation of Uttar Pradesh and bringing the state on the path of industrialization and development and improving the standard of living of the people.
