Things are going to get far more villainous on Doom Patrol, as TVLine is reporting which Michelle Gomez has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming third season. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina celebrity will be playing Madame Rouge, a personality who seems to possess deep connective ties to other people on the show including Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton) when the source material is some indication.

According to TVLine’s report, Madame Rouge is an”eccentric villainess” that will show up in Doom Manor using a very clear goal in mind but seems to have lost her capacity to recall just what that aim is. Gomez, who comes off a recent stint on another HBO Max series The Flight Attendant, joins a cast that, in addition to Dalton, comprises Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Matt Bomer, Brendan Fraser, and Joivan Wade.

In the first DC Comics, Madame Rouge initially appeared in a problem of Doom Patrol, coincidentally enough, and throughout her tenure from the comics, the kingdom has often battled with the titular team. As the only female member of this Brotherhood of Evil, she is a character whose character is most often split between her great and evil halves and has also owned masterful powers of disguise, for example, the ability to change her look.
