Code Geass Season 3 seems to have no future. It’s been over a long time since Season two of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion had its finale and fans have given up all expectations from the writer Ichirō Ōkouchi.
The writer isn’t interested in Code Geass Season 3 because the protagonist Lelouch isn’t alive. Hence, rather than making a third season on it, the author has chosen to create a movie titled Code Geass: Lelouch of this Re;surrection. The film will have Lelouch taking the center stage again, which is believed to excite the audiences considerably more than a series giving a remembrance which he’s no more.
According to EconoTimes, Gorō Taniguchi, the director explained the movie’s plotline will follow the narrative told in the movie and not in the show. Among the main reasons for producing the movie, based on Taniguchi, is to explore the avenues which were never tapped by the anime.
People who were awaiting Code Geass Season 3 must have been disappointed with Taniguchi’s idea and perspective, but you should still be glad to know that Lelouch and the rest of the cast will again become on the screen.
