The Mumbai regional office of the Central Board of Film Certification (Censor Board) has been in the news for quite some time now. Famous South Cinema star Vishal has recently made serious allegations of corruption against the Censor Board. This news has shaken everyone. All such people are strictly investigating this matter and strict action is being taken against the Central Board of Film Certification. While on one hand most of the people are giving statements against the board, on the other hand now an actor has spoken in their favor. This actor is none other than producer Jackky Bhagnani.
Controversy over CBFC
The Central Board of Film Certification is facing massive controversy these days. In fact, recently, famous actor of South Indian films, Vishal had accused the board that Employees at the Mumbai Censor Board allegedly accepted a hefty sum of money in exchange for certifying and screening the Hindi version of his movie “Mark Antony.” In fact, the actor has claimed that the producers have paid Rs 6.5 lakh to board officials in Mumbai to certify the Hindi version of ‘Mark Antony’.
It was only after Vishal made the allegations that the CBFC immediately announced that they will not tolerate any corruption and assured necessary action against the culprits. Amid the controversy, actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani has praised the Board of Film Certification. He tweeted, ‘We would like to thank the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and MIB India for continuously supporting us. We appreciate your impartiality in all our dealings over the years.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is in action on the big revelation of actor Vishal. Taking the allegations seriously, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Friday directed officials to expeditiously implement measures to increase transparency and accountability in the administration of the board. Actor Vishal is happy seeing the action of the Ministry. He has praised the immediate action taken by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on the matter.
