Ray Stevenson, a talented actor renowned for his roles in hit television series such as Rome, Vikings, and Dexter, has unfortunately left this world at the age of 58.
He was well-known for his parts in the Divergent series, the Thor movie franchise, and various UK television programs like Band of Gold, Peak Practise, and Murphy’s Law.
The report of his death was announced by his US-based publicity firm, Viewpoint. No additional details were provided.

He was apparently hospitalized during filming on the Italian island of Ischia, however, the cause of death remains unknown.
While working on the production of the action-packed movie Cassino in Ischia, he tragically passed away.
Just four days before he was due to turn 59, news surrounding his demise hit the public.
Early Life and Career of Ray Stevenson
Stevenson’s birthplace was Northern Ireland, yet at the age of eight, his family made a significant move to England. Stevenson’s father was in service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) when he was brought into this world in 1964, close to Lisburn in County Antrim. Eventually, Newcastle upon Tyne became Stevenson’s early-year resting place, spending a significant chunk of time there with his family.
Stevenson’s desire to pursue a career in acting was ignited by his observation of John Malkovich’s performance at a London West End theatre. During his attendance at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to study acting. Stevenson secured one of his initial TV roles in the production of The Dwelling Place, written by Catherine Cookson. Following this, he obtained various TV appearances in British productions. Which included Waking the Dead, Dalziel and Pascoe, and At Home with the Braithwaites.
In the high-profile Hollywood movie King Arthur, starring Keira Knightley, he had a role as a knight in 2004.
The parts of Volstagg in the Thor trilogy and Titus Pullo in HBO’s historical drama Rome were recently attained by Stevenson. He has appeared in other popular US-produced TV shows and films.
The new Disney+ series Star Wars: Ahsoka will include him as Baylan Skoll.
