Shernavaz Jijina is an Indian actress and model. She is popularly known for her role as Sabnam in Amazon Prime’s web series Mirzapur. Apart from that, she also worked in Bang Baaja Baaraat (2015) and Love On The Run (2020)
Biography
She has worked in Music videos for MTV. Her name was ‘Gurpreet.’ later, she got the opportunity to work in another web series named ‘Love on the Run’ aired on MTV television. After that, she got the opportunity to work in one of the most popular web series named Mirzapur. Therefore she played Shabnam’s role in Mirzapur’s season 2, aired on Amazon prime original.

Career
Shernavaz Jijina was born on 22 September 1995 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Muslim family. Her father is a small businessman and her mother is an entrepreneur. She has two sibling sisters. After completing her graduation she started working in the corporate sector. Jijina made her first debut with the web series Bang Baaja Baaraat(2015) alongside Ali Fazal, playing the role of Gurpreet. This series got a mixed response from the audience.
After a few years, she was cast in a small cameo role as Shabnam in the web series Mirzapur, however, her role is extended and she played an important leadership role in the second season of Mirzapur. Shernavaz Jijina studied in a local school in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was her dream to become an actress since childhood, although she participated in many school events.
She was fond of acting and modelling; during her school and college days, many people told her that she had the potential to become an actress. Although she previously worked in many web series such as Bang Baaja Baaraat, Mirzapur web series made her famous. In Mirzapur, she played Shabnam’s role, which people liked the most.
There she was portrayed alongside Fazal Ali and Pankaj Tripathi. Besides this, she has appeared in Bang Baaja Baraat and Love on Run movies as well. In Mirzapur her few co-actor were Pankaj Tripathi and Fazal Ali as Guddu Bhaiya. However, apart from Mirzapur and Bang Baaja Baaraat, she appeared in Love on Run, A Hindi movie.
