Actor Freida Pinto has revealed she tied the knot with her fiance and photographer Cory Tran. When they were in lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star says when they got engage in November 2019, they thought they will have “this most magical wedding” but the pandemic was a spoilsport.
Freida Selena Pinto is an Indian actress who has appeared mainly in American and British films. Born and raised in Bombay, she resolved at a young age to become an actress. As a student at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
Freida who is currently expecting her first child with Tran left everyone surprised as she revealed that. She was in a marriage after Kelly Clarkson first quiz her about how the wedding planning was going. Revealing the romantic story behind the couple eloping amid lockdown, Freida told Clarkson that it was “pretty and simple.”
The actress stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday and spoke about the couple’s “beautiful proposal” which she first shared on her Instagram in November 2019. Host Kelly Clarkson gushed over a picture of Tran, a photographer. Proposing next to a waterfront sunset and asked how the wedding planning was going. Pinto playfully responded, “Oh excellent. We’re already married!”

“I should clear the air. I wasn’t planning a big fat Indian wedding. It was just going to be something pretty and simple… But then COVID happened and it’s still happening. And we just realized we were going to be planning this for the rest of our lives and probably never doing it,” Pinto said during an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old actor, who is expecting her first child with Tran, says the couple eventually went to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California to marry.
“Honestly, I have to say if any of you have planned a wedding, you probably know this, I do not want stomach ulcers from planning my own wedding. This was perfect! We got married and then we got to go home and take an afternoon nap,” she added.
Pinto also shared she meet Tran, 34, through actor Aaron Paul, her co-star in the drama series ‘The Path’.
She told Clarkson that she was happily single while shooting their television show in New York when Paul said, ‘I want you in my life forever, Freida, so I’m going to introduce you to my friend’.
“The actor recalls telling Paul she did not want him playing matchmaker and added, “But he still did it and turns out I got engaged to Cory, his friend.”
Freida further also mentioned that the couple decided one day to head to the Honda Center in Anaheim [California] and just get married. Speaking about how their secret wedding ceremony was, the actress added, “This was perfect! We got marriage and then we got to go home and take an afternoon nap.”
Freida had recently shared photos from her baby shower. In June, she confirmed the news of her pregnancy and announced on Instagram saying, “Baby Tran, coming this Fall!”
