Mi Band 6 is the latest in the fitness band lineup by Xiaomi. The Mi Band is among the most successful fitness band options, especially in the budget segment for Indian consumers. The latest version comes with a few noticeable upgrades that make it worthy of being called a fresh take on the fitness band segment.
It now packs a spo2 sensor for blood oxygen levels, a feature that is found mostly on expensive and mid-range smartwatches. Bringing the spo2 sensor in a fitness band is surely a step up as compared to the previous versions of Mi Band.
Mi Band 6 Features
The new Mi Band 6 packs a 1.56 inch AMOLED display which is a great improvement compared to the muddy screens of the previous Mi Band. Its display can attain a peak brightness of 450 nits which is adequately visible even under bright sunlight. With 326 PPI, the text and icons have smooth edges and do not look severely pixelated.
The band weighs just 12.8 grams that is much lighter than a traditional watch and is water-resistant up to 50 meters. The display comes with an anti-fingerprint coating and tempered glass and discards minor scratches. The fitness band is slightly larger but the straps don’t appear wider at all. It comes with a single-color strap out of the box. Different strap color options are available but have to be bought separately. You cannot pick any color along with the band.

The step counter doesn’t miss steps and presents elaborate tracking information about your physical activities. Health rate and sleep monitoring are present along with a women’s health tracking mode to provide recordings for menstrual cycle and ovulation phases. The band works in sync with the mobile application and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
Mi Band 6 charges via a magnetic dock charger and refills in two hours. The battery life is expected around 14 days or more but with multiple tracking sensors enabled, the battery drains faster.
Mi Band 6 Pricing
Mi Band 6 is priced higher than its Chinese counterpart and is sad news for budget consumers. At 3499, the fitness band is certainly not cheap but offers a 500 rupees discount for buyers who own an older version of the Mi Band.
